Join like-minded Australian pottery enthusiasts by becoming a Friend of the National Museum of Australian Pottery.

We hold informal and friendly quarterly meetings at the Museum on the first Saturday of February, May, August and November, starting at 2.00pm. Friends share afternoon tea, mystery pieces and show and tell. Friends also receive free admission to the Museum, preview events and special exhibitions.

I/we,  

I/we hereby apply to become a member of the Friends of the National Museum of Australian Pottery. In the event of my/our admission as a member, I/we agree to support the objectives of the Friends of NMAP.

The objects of Friends of NMAP are:

  • to assist the development of the National Museum of Australian Pottery,
  • to promote amongst its Friends the study and a greater knowledge of 19th and 20th Century Australian Pottery,
  • to foster interchange of information among Friends by discussions, lectures, readings, exhibitions, excursions and social activities,
  • to maintain association between the National Museum of Australian Pottery and the community by encouraging a greater understanding of the purpose and functions of the National Museum of Australian Pottery,
  • to acquire either by purchase, donation, bequeath or otherwise and preserve Australian pottery, books, manuscripts, newspapers, records, medals, prints, pictures, photographs, relics and historical records of any description that may be considered to have a bearing on Australian Pottery,
  • to use influence to secure the preservation of places, factories, homes and buildings of historical interest to the Australian Pottery industry,
  • to affiliate and co-operate with other groups and institutions with interests in Australian Pottery.

A $10 Joining Fee and an Annual Membership Fee of $50 applies.
